A varicocele is the enlargement of veins within the scrotum. A varicocele is similar to varicose veins in the legs. Varicoceles are a major cause of low sperm production and decreased sperm motility which may lead to infertility, though not all varicoceles affect sperm production. Varicoceles can cause the testicles to shrink.
To effectively manage a varicocele requires two things. First, a healthy lifestyle is important to prevent the varicocele from increasing more. Second, it is important to get rid of free radicals and toxins that have accumulated and caused the valves to function improperly.
Acidim®, a product by Grocare®, helps alter the pH around the vasculature so free radicals become weak. Activiz® helps the region rid of toxins from the area. Oronerv® ensures that blood flow remains smooth and controls inflammation and pain. This being a holistic approach, this kit will help the arterial and venous system gain strength naturally. This is a very effective method since your body is healing from the inside and addressing the root cause.

Does a Varicocele lead to infertility?
The arterial and venous system bring and send blood to and from the scrotum. This blood has to be pure to produce sperm. When the venous system fails to send the blood back due to a varicocele, there is more impure blood in the testis. This can impact sperm production negatively. Sperm count can reduce, eventually causing infertility in the long term.
You can read about this in detail in this article.
So how and why does Varicocele occur?
The veins are responsible for sending blood back to the heart. Blood has to travel upwards from the scrotal area to the heart. To ensure the blood travels in the upward direction, the veins can only send blood one way. Modern lifestyle can cause an imbalanced pH due to toxicity in the cell that accumulates in the blood. This altered pH and increased toxin production can form unstable molecules that can damage cells in your body, called free radicals. The accumulation of free radicals and toxins around the valves in the scrotum leads to improper functioning and causes an obstruction in smooth blood flow. Blood can start to accumulate in the veins to cause a varicocele.
This can take up to months or even years for the veins to stop working properly and a varicocele to develop. This is mainly caused due to an improper lifestyle, which is why varicocele is considered a lifestyle disease.
How is a varicocele detected?
An ultrasound is used to detect a varicocele. A sperm count analysis is also a good idea in addition to the ultrasound for better insight on how severe the disease is. There have been many reported cases where a varicocele is misdiagnosed as a hernia, epididymitis (inflammation of the tube in the testis), or a hydrocele (fluid collection in the scrotum causing swelling). It is very important to get an accurate diagnosis.
Is Surgery Really the answer to varicocele?
According to modern science, varicocele treatment is only effective by doing surgery. Modern science also suggests that varicoceles cannot truly be cured and has a recurrence rate of up to 35%. You can read the study here
These are called recurrent varicoceles. Note that a surgery does not ensure relief and involves a recovery period of three to four weeks. On top of the varicocele, damage is done to the vas defers which can cause a permanent reduction in the production of sperm. It is your decision whether surgery is right for you, especially after considering the available non-surgical options available.
